Dr. Shakirat Babatunde is a conscientious multidisciplinary professional with over 20 years of teaching, accounting practice, manufacturing, banking, public sector, and research experience. She is currently a Director in the Debt Management Department, LASG Secretariat, Ikeja, Lagos. She is also a part-time lecturer in the University of Lagos Business School, University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos.

Dr. Shakirat is educated at Harvard Business School, Boston, Massachusetts, USA; the University of Lagos, Akoka, and the Polytechnic Ibadan. She is a fellow and member of professional bodies like The Institute of Public Accountants Australia, The International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation Professionals of the United States of America, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, and The National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria.
